Nowa odsłona Partnerstwa Wolnego Słowa

Fundacja Res Publica rozpoczyna kolejny etap programu Partnerstwa Wolnego Słowa, którego celem jest wspópraca między redakcjami czasopism ideowo-kulturowych z krajów byłego Bloku Wschodniego. Dotychczas działania kierowane były na Białoruś i Ukrainę. Tym razem zakres współpracy zostanie poszerzony o inne kraje Partnerstwa Wschodniego.

Realizowany od 2009 roku program PWS stawia sobie za cel współpracę z redakcjami czasopism ideowo-kulturowych z krajów byłego Bloku Wschodniego. Przede wszystkim służy wymianie intelektualnej oraz dzieleniu się doświadczeniami związanymi z działalnością wydawniczą. Dotychczas program łączy około 30 środowisk intelektualnych i opiniotwórczych z Białorusi, Ukrainy, Polski i stopniowo będzie się poszerzać.

Nowa edycja PWS planowana jest na lata 2012-2015. W tym czasie odbędą się szkolenia dla redaktorów czasopism intelektualnych i kulturowych na Białorusi, Ukrainie i w Mołdawii (2013) oraz w Armenii, Azerbejdżanie i Gruzji (2014), podczas których redaktorzy będą mogli dzielić się swoimi doświadczeniami. Zostaną także zorganizowane konferencje służące wymianie intelektualnej we Lwowie (2013), w Kiszyniowie (2014) oraz w Krakowie (2015). W trakcie trwania programu publikowane będą w trzech językach (angielskim, polskim i rosyjskim) recenzje pism głównych środowisk opiniotwórczych z krajów PW. Współpraca zostanie przypieczętowana wspólną publikacją.

Wszystkie działania mają służyć wzmocnieniu potencjału środowisk opiniotwórczych, które są ważnym elementem w budowie silniejszego społeczeństwa obywatelskiego. Stawiamy sobie również za cel zwiększenie świadomości wśród Polaków i obywateli innych krajów Europy o sprawach kluczowych dla krajów Partnerstwa Wschodniego.

Partnerstwo Wolnego Słowa jest wspierane przez Fundusz Wyszehradzki (V4EaP Flagship Projects, czas realizacji od 03/09/2012 do 31/08/2015).

Głównym celem projektów strategicznych V4EaP jest przekzanie doświadczenia oraz „know-how” z krajów Grupy Wyszehradzkiej dotyczących procesów przemian demokratycznych oraz integracji i współpracy regionalnej. Projekty strategiczne wspierają procesy reform, integrację polityczną i gospodarczą z UE, wzmacniają zdolności instytucjonalne, przyczyniają się do rozwoju społeczeństwa obywatelskiego i ogólnej transformacji krajów Partnerstwa Wschodniego (Armenia, Azerbejdżan, Białoruś, Gruzja, Mołdawia i Ukraina).

New edition of Free Speech Partnership

Res Publica Foundation begins the next stage of the Free Speech Partnership program, which aims at the cooperation of the editorial teams of the cultural and intellectual journals from the former Eastern Bloc countries. So far the main target of this program has been Belarus and Ukraine but this time we intend to expand the cooperation with other countries of the Eastern Partnership.

Launched in 2009, the Free Speech Partnership program takes as its main aim the cooperation of editorial teams of cultural and intellectual journals from the former Eastern Bloc countries. It is based on intellectual exchange and experience sharing. This program has already established a network of about 30 intellectual communities and opinion makers from Belarus, Ukraine and Poland and is gradually expanding.

The new edition of the Free Speech Partnership program is planned for the years 2012-2015. At that time seminars for editors of intellectual and cultural journals will be organized to create a possibility of sharing our experiences. The seminars will take place in Belarus, Ukraine and Moldavia (2013) and in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia (2014). We are also planning to organize the conferences to exchange our intellectual property – the conferences will be held in Lviv (2013), Chisinau (2014) and Cracow (2015). In the course of the program the reviews of the main opinion-making journals will be published in three languages: English, Polish and Russian. As a result of the cooperation a collective publication will be released.

All activities are designed to strengthen the capacity of opinion-making communities, which are an important element in building a stronger civil society. We also aim at increasing the awareness of Polish and European societies about the key issues of the communities of the Eastern Partnership countries.

The Free Speech Partnership program is supported by the Visegrad Fund (V4EaP Flagship Project, implementation period from 03/09/2012 to 31/08/2015).

The aim of the Flagship Projects within theV4EaP pro­gram is to sup­port long-term projects of strate­gic char­ac­ter that sig­nif­i­cantly con­tribute to pro­vid­ing access to the unique expe­ri­ence and know-how of the Visegrad Group coun­tries with the processes of demo­c­ra­tic trans­for­ma­tion and inte­gra­tion and with regional coop­er­a­tion. Flagship Projects are meant to sup­port reform processes, polit­i­cal asso­ci­a­tion and eco­nomic inte­gra­tion with the EU, strengthen the insti­tu­tional capac­ity, con­tribute to the devel­op­ment of civil soci­ety and the over­all trans­for­ma­tion of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) coun­tries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine).
