Maria Lewicka

profesor Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego, wykłada psychologię społeczną i psychologię środowiskową na Wydziale Psychologii UW, w latach 1994 – 2004 nauczała również na Uniwersytecie Tromsoe w Norwegii. Redaktor naczelna pisma "Psychologia Społeczna" oraz zastępca przewodniczącego Komitetu Psychologii PAN. Jest autorką kilkudziesięciu prac dotyczących m.in. psychologii rozumowań, asymetrii pozytywno-negatywnej, przywiązania do miejsca, pamięci zbiorowej oraz aktywności społecznej. Za swój wkład w rozwój psychologii społecznej odznaczona nagrodą im. Jean-Paul Codola Europejskiego Stowarzyszenia Psychologii Społecznej. Jest miłośniczką habsburskiej Europy Środkowej i unikalnego dziedzictwa tego regionu.
